Ex-WBA and WBC cruiser champ Jean Marc Mormeck´s debut as heavyweight set for November 20 against Vinny Maddalone is postponed until December 17 after Mormeck was injured in training. If Maddalone remains as opponent appears to be an open question.
 
Hall of Fame promoter Mogens Palle and his company International Entertaiment have scored what seems like a clean KO in court over the former owners of Danish network DK4 – a company that in turned had sued Palle. DK4 claimed that what was delivered from Palle wasn´t good enough and also claimed rights to two Mikkel Kessler fights that went out on PPV and eventually they walked out on the contract. Palle then filed a lawsuit for breach of contract and won – the problem is that the company he sued is under administration and there are no money to collect. Palle was awarded 30 million DKK, a good 4 million EUR but probably won´t get a dime out of it. Not even the legal representatives for Palle´s counterpart have been paid in full.
 
Andrea Sarritzu and Christophe Rodrigues clash for the vacant EBU flyweight title November 14 in Maracalagonis on the Italian island of Sardinia. OPI 2000 promotes and welter Luciano Abis is in against capable Estonian Albert Starikov on the undercard.
 
Souleyman M´Baye have relinquished the EBU jr welter title due to an old injury that haven´t healed as expected. M´baye was set to fight Paul McCloskey November 6 in Belfast and the date stands with Spaniard Daniel Rasilla stepping in at short notice.
 
French welter champ Stanislavs Salmon defends the title October 30 in St Nazaire against Franck Harroche Horta. The show goes out live on EuroSport.
 
Former WBA supermiddle champ Christoph Tiozzo, an outstanding boxer in his day, is at the age of 46 telling French media he is thinking of coming back. The comeback – if it comes off – would be at cruiser. Tiozzo insists the comeback plans aren´t related to bad finances.
 
Former German jr middle champ Jean Andre Emmerich is now an renowned artist. Emmerich fought professionally from 72 through 84, became German champ in 76 and later fought on the road in South Africa, Denmark, Algeria and Italiy where he challenged for the EBU title against Luigi Minchillo. Emmerich also fought in the mainevent in the very first Universum show in Hamburg in 1984 collecting a purse of 9300 Dmark but lost to local hero Erwin Heiber. Emmerich have fine website up at emmerich-ja.de and have his latest exhibition featured in the Frankfurter Allgemeine in an article by Hartmut Schmerzer. Emmerich have allowed boxing to influence his paintings and have done a painting featuring Mike Tyson knocking out Frank Bruno. It´s reported in the article by mr Schmerzer that the painting was sold at one of the Hessen Box Teams early promotions in Frankfurt for a 1000 Dmark to a Tyson fan. What is it worth now? Probably a whole lot more.
