Sarritzu challenged WBO fly champ Omar Narvaez twice in 2002 and 2003 losing a split decision the first time and getting a draw the second time around and have also won and lost the EBU belt a number of times.
Unbeaten Hungarian jr welter Gabor Veto takes on Kenyan James Kimori on the undercard to Klitschko vs Haye. Veto is 24-0 but it´s a record built on soft opponents and his management are now looking for a deal with a big promoter to get Gabor´s career in gear.
German middle Dominik Britsch, 23-0 and of Sauerland´s best bet for the future, takes on American Ryan Davis July 16 in Munich in a supporting bout to Huck vs Garay. At stake is vacant IBF I/C title. It´s the first 12-rounder for Britsch who will be moved into bigger fights next season.
Polish lightheavy Dawid Kostecki won a unanimous (97-92 twice and 99-91) ten round decision over reigning EU supermiddle champ Lolenga Mock last night in Rzeszow. The WBC Baltic title was at stake. Mock will probably keep the EU belt despite the loss as this fight was in another weight division. On the undercard heavyweight Andrzej Wawrzyk stopped washed up German Andreas Sidon in the first of a gross mismatch.
