Middles Gennadyi Golovkin and Milton A Nunez are now tentatively set fight for the WBA “standard” title July 31 in Culiacan, Mexico. Jr welter Zapir Rasulov, 22-0, and holder of three Youth  “world” titles appears on the undercard. The show is promoted by Delta Box Promotion, a Luxembourg based outfit, who hopes to make it a co-promotion with Top Rank.
 
Universum now have three shows scheduled for July for a grand finish of the collaboration with network partner ZDF. On July 17 Universum salvage the collapsed Zbib vs Gevor fight with WBO lightheavy champ Juergen Braehmer defending the title against Spaniard Alejandro Lakatos, who at one time came close to upsetting then champ Dariusz Michalczewski but was stopped and have never reached the same heights since then. He does however hold the WBO European title. Headlining the show for ZDF is female fly queen Susi Kentikian. On July 31 at home in Hamburg Universum have WBC interim middle champ Sebastian Zbik against the ever dangerous tba while Khoren Gevor moves up to supermiddle to challenge WBA “standard” champ Dimitri Sartison.
 
Earlier in the week Russian promoter German Titov won purse bids to stage Aleksander Dimitrenko vs Dennis Bahktov with a bid for 260 000 EUR – by the standard set in later years a lot of money for a EBU heavyweight title fight.. Titov have to stage the fight before July 31 – a tough demand by the EBU.
 
British welter Ashley Theopane won the vacant IBO I/C title last weekend with a majority decison over Harasch Hotaki. Theopane was fighting with a New York license on this GBA licensed show.
 
Promoter Eddie Bazira of Baltic Box Promotion insists that the show in Kampala July 23 is still on with US heavy Joey Abell vs tba and Attila Levin vs Robert Daniels as headliners. Baltic Pro Box have however let go of their own stable, Peter Semo, Abdu Tebazalwa and Hassan Saku after some disagreements. All three have been fighting out of Stockholm for the last few years.
