Cuban heavy Odlanier Solis is now on the comeback trail after the serious knee injury he suffered against Vitali Klitschko March 19 – a fight that ended just before the first round was about to end with Solis counted out
Solis is set to return on a Arena Box Promotion show October 14 and take on Varol Vekiloglu from Berlin for the IBF Intercontinental title.
On paper Vekiloglu, holder of the IBF East/West title at lightheavy, looks very much up against it in his debut at heavyweight. On the other hand this matchup probably also reflect some worries in Team Solis if the knee really will hold up once in the ring.
