05.11 Euro News: update Oberhausen Nov 28 cancelled

The Klitschko brothers, Vitali and Wladimir, and Universum have for five years fought in courts over when their respective contracts with Universum expired. It´s now been decided by a higher court in Germany that the Klitschkos were right. Universum had argued that the contracts should be extended with the time the two champs were injured and not available to fight. Not so, says the court. According to Bild WBA middleweight king Felix Sturm have hired the same attorney as the Klitschkos had for his contractual dispute with Universum.
 
Mads Larsen vs Brian Magee for the vacant EBU supermiddle title is now according to Palm Promotion on for January 30 at the NRGI Arena in Aarhus, Denmark. This means Larsen get his chance two weeks later than proposed.
 
French jr middle Christophe Canclaux face former WBA ruler Joachim Alcine December 5 in Montreal in a non-title fight scheduled for twelve. Canclaux was close to a shot at the WBA title when Alcine was champ but it never materialized. Since then Christophe have left Sauerland Event and is now with R 2 Images & Event.
 
P 3 Boxing in Finland next promotes in Tampere November 27 with heavyweight Juho Haapoja defending the national title against Jarno Rosberg on top. At jr welter Ville Piispanen and Jaakko Myllala clash for the vacant Finnish title. Swedish heavy Attila Levin is likely to be featured on the undercard and there could be a local grudge match between feathers Andreas Evensen and Reidar Walstad – both from Norway and the Trondheim region. The two have sparred together but generally the two camps don´t collaborate.
 
French fly Bernard Inom returns to action after almost 18 months out December 11 in Nimes and take on Nicaraguan Henry Lipton. Inom, 19-1-1, challenged for the WBO title in 05 and won the EBU crown in 08 but then retired. Inom is currently sparring with EBU bantam king Malik Bouziane, who is preparing for a defence against Emiliano Salvini November 26.
 
Veteran K 1 champ Jerome Le Banner continues his comeback in proboxing with a fight December 11 in Deauville. Le Banner first turned pro in 98 but then returned to martial arts. In May of this year Jerome, 5-0, returned to boxing looking far from impressive in stopping German Werner Kreiskott in four.

German heavy Luan Krasniqi have suffered a foot injury and is out of the fight against stablemate Alexander Dimitrenko November 28 in Oberhausen. This means that Universum have cancelled the show as a whole with Krasniqi vs Dimitrenko to be reschuled when Luan is fit.
 
The supporting bouts this far included a fight at supermiddle between Dimitri Sartison and Stepjan Bozic for the WBA “standard title” and the hot all-Russian matchup at cruiser between Alexander Alexeev and Grigory Drozd. When and where these fights will go ahead will be announced within the next few days.
