17.07 Results from Schwerin.

July 17,  Schwerin, Germany:

WBO, WIBF and WBA female fly champ Susi Kentikian retained her titles when her fight against Arely Mucino was declared a No Contest 27 seconds into the third round when Kentikian suffered a cut on her scalp after an accidental clash of heads. Mucino´s busy style seemed to give Kentikian plenty of problems and after two scored rounds the fight was even on two cards while the third card read 20-18 for Mucino.

Cruiser Denis Lebedev won over Alexander Alexeev in a surprisingly convincing fashion a he took out Alexeev with a devastating southpaw left. Alexeev, an exellent boxer, looked tense and stiff throughout and seemed unable to get untracked. Lebedev showed his power right from the start and ended the fight at 2.40. It was scheduled for 12 and a final WBO eliminator.

Polish heavy Mariusz Wach knocked out Christian Hammer at 1.56 of the sixth of a scheduled eight rounder. Wach was ahead on points after five when he scored with a devastating right-left hook-right hand that took the lights out of Hammer.

Featherweight Marcel Meyerdiecks floored Venezuelan Hermin Isava in the seventh and won clearly after eight.

Supermiddle Eduard Gutknecht stopped Czech Michal Bilak, who couldn´t come out for the third due to a bad cut.

Namibian lightheavy Vikapita Meroro ouscored Latvian Jevgenijs Andrejevs after six but failed to impress.

At ringside: Juergen Braehmer, reigning WBO lightheavy champ, his challenger Alejandro Lakatos, WBA standard supermiddle champ Dimtri Sartison as well as ex-champs Ruslan Chagaev and Ina Menzer.
