ERIK GÖR COMEBACK
Erik Skoglund gör comeback efter sju månaders uppehåll på grund av skada på den stora VM galan i Helsingfors på lördag.
Lättungviktaren från Nyköping öppnar – första gong-gongen är 17.50 lokal tid – galan med en fyra-rondare mot marockanen Amine Belali. Enligt erikskoglund.se har Belali gått fyra matcher och vunnit tre.
Skoglund bröt käken i senaste matchen och valet av motståndare och distansen visar på viss osäkerhet om formen.
ANOTHER TITLE?
What the boxing world need is another title to fight for right? Well, this past weekend when lightweights Guillaume Frenois outscored Patrick Kinigamazi in Geneva it was the inaugural fight for a UFB title.
UFB? Union Francophone de Boxe – this is a title open for fighters from the French speaking countries and there´s said to be 56 of them.
Honorary President for the new organisation is middleweight great Jean Claude Bouttier with Swiss Peter Stucki as President and among the vice Presidents we find Tunisian Houcine Houichi.
The UFB will recognize nine weight divisions: flyweight, bantam, feather, lightweight, welter, middle, lightheavy, cruiser and heavyweight.
