Spanish fly Ivan Pozo have given up the EBU title due to problems making the weight. Pozo won the title with a controversial decision over Frenchman Christophe Rodriguez late last year. A rematch was ordered and all set for May 8 but was then pushed back to May 22 and is now off. It´s likely that Italian veteran and former champ Andrea Sarritzu will fight Rodriguez for the vacant belt.
 
“Gazet van Antwerpen” writes that Turkish welter Selcuk Aydin and Belgian Jackson Osei Bonsu could meet in a final WBC eliminator July 11 in Istanbul, Turkey, on a Arena Box Promotion show. The vacant EBU title could also be at stake.
 
It´s confirmed and official: middleweights Domenico Spada and Sebastian Zbik clash for the WBC Interim title in Oberhausen on a Universum show June 6. In the headliner EBU lightheavy king Juergen Braehmer face Italian Antonio Brancalion.
