Opponent for EBU supermiddle champ James DeGale in his defence October 13 at the Glow, Bluewater, UK, will be Frenchman Hadillah Mohoumadi, 13-2-1, who is reigning French champ but comes in off a loss to Nikola Sjekloca (EBU # 3). Hennessy Sports first tried to get the EBU to recognize Finland´s Niko Jokinen, unbeaten in 18 but untested, as opponent but he was turned down as he is not yet in the EBU ratings.
Edis Tatli, 18-0, take on Italian Paolo Gassani, 16-2, October 27 with the vacant EU lightweight title at stake on a dinnershow at the Ringside Gym in Espoo, Finland, with P 3 Boxing promoting. There will four more profights to the bill including supermiddle Niko Jokinen. MTV
Martin Murray have relinquished his position as mandatory challenger for the vacant EBU middleweight title. Frenchman Julien Sainte Marie will now have Ukrainan Maxim Bursak as co-challenger. The EBU calls for purse bids with deadline at October 15 at noon.
The undercard to Povetkin vs Rahman features the prodebut of lightheavy Enrico Kolling, who participated in the 2012 Olympics in London. Kolling take on Spaniard Pablo Sosa, who went the full eight rounds with Kolling´s more experienced stablemate Erik Skoglund. Also on the bill is cruiser David Graf, who with six early endings in the seven fights have shown impressive power. Graf take on Brit Martyn Grainger.
