Finland´s Amin Asikainen will now face unbeaten Argentinian Dario Matorra May 11 in Kyrkslaett (Kirkonummi) in his debut at supermiddle. Amin was first set to take on Bolivian Ricky Torrez.
Big Timo Hoffmann, the German Oak, returns to action June 4 and headline SES´ outdoor promotion in Aschersleben. Hoffmann was last seen losing to Francois Botha.
Spanish cruiser David Quinonero comes back May 7 in Castellbisbals on a show promoted by CBXC and Rimer Boxe. Quinonero, 23-1, have fought sporadically over the last few years.
Swedish Pugnus Promotions will again promote in Karlstad early September and will attempt to get the headliners over full distance - which requires a special permission from the Martial Arts Delegation. Pugnus promise heavyweights in the headliner which may read Attila Levin vs tba and a female title fight, perhaps with Anna Ingman.
German heavy Francesco Pianeta have relinquished the EU title. Official challenger Claus Bertino will now face highest available challenger for the vacant title.
Sauerland Event´s First Lady, Cecilia Braekhus, will according to Norwegian media defend the title May 15 in Herning, Denmark. Opponent is to be announced. This show is topped by supermiddle Rudy Markussen. Braekhus´ recent inactivity have to do with lack of network backing at home in Norway and there is still none set for this event.
WBA welter champ Vladislav Senchenko is pencilled in to defend the August 30 in Donetsk, Ukraine, against Venezuelan Charlie Jose Navarro. Senchenko last defended the title early October.
The WBC – no official confirmation from Universum though – are announcing that jr light champ Vitali Tajbert will defend the title May 22 in Rostock against Hector Velazquez. Jr middle prospect Jack Culcay is also on the bill and lightheavies Aleksyi Kuziemsky and Igor Michalkin clash in an internal eliminator, Kuziemsky, 18-1, fought Juergen Braehmer for the WBO title last year while Michalkin is unbeaten in eleven.
