Simon injured: German middle Benjamin Simon is out of the IBF eliminator against Sam Soliman after suffering a hand injury in sparring. Simon-Soliman was to have headlined a big show in Berlin April 1.
 
The show is still on though and co-promoter (along with Prime Time Event & Entertainment) Arena are bringing in WBC silver champ, welterweight, Selcuk Aydin and former WBA cruiser king Firat Arslan. Arslan face Czech veteran Michal Bilak in his first fight since losing the title to Steve Herelius. Aydin is in against unbeaten but untested Dzimitry Lubachkin from Belorus.
 
There are three heavyweight title fights on the bill as welll. Czech Ondrey Pala square off against Alex Mazikin from Ukraine with the WBO European crown at stake. Alex Petkovic, once a teenage prospect with Universum, is in against Harry Duiven, Jr, for the IBF East-West title. Finally, Yakub Saglam face Michael Wallish for the Int´l German title – the BDB version that is.

Petrucci vs Bundu: Italian promoter Davide Buccione won today´s purse bid in Rome to stage the fight for the vacant EBU welterweight title between Daniel Petrucci and Leonardu Bundu. Buccione bid 102,000 EUR while Loreni Boxe finished second with a bid for 91,000 EUR. Buccione will stage the fight June 25 at “Foro Italico” in Rome.
 
P 3 Boxing: Finland´s leading promoter, P 3 Boxing headed by Pekka Maeki, have cruiserweight  and local man Juho Haapoja on top of their bill May 21 in Seinajoki. Welter Jussi Koivula is in against Belgian Kobe Vanderkhove in a supporting bout.
