EBU lightheavy champ Eduard Gutknecht, fresh off a win over mandatory challenger Vyacheslav Uzelkov in Frankfurt earlier this month, will according to French sources make a voluntary defence against Tony Averlant, the reigning EU ruler, March 31 in Kiel on Sauerland´s big show there.
Averlant, a lightpunching, awkward but effective fighter, is wellknown to German fans after his two fights with Artur Hein. The pair drew the first time but Averlant wore down Hein for a stoppage win the second time around.
Headlining the Kiel bill is still at supermiddle Arthur Abraham against Piotr Wilczewski.
