Team Sauerland revealed to media in Germany this past weekend that they were looking at a unification fight between WBO cruiser champ Marco Huck and WBC ruler Krzystof Wlodarczyk. There are ongoing talks with the fight tentatively set for late October or early November with Berlin as site.
In Poland Wlodarczyk´s promoter Bullit Knockout, headed by Andrew Wasilewski, were looking at a showdown with Danny Green but this was before the Antonio Tarver fight. There have also been talks of a rematch against Francisco Palacios.
Sauerland are also working on a unification fight between IBF cruiser king Stan Cunningham and WBA interim title holder Yoan Pablo Hernandez.
Sauerland also promotes hardpunching Alexander Frenkel, who holds the EBU title and have stablemate Enad Licina as mandatory challenger.
As for WBA cruiser ruler Guillermo Jones it appears that he is left out in the cold. He´s probably the best of them all but is also a much avoided fighter and there are also rumors of bad health and problems making the weight.
Below the champs we have Russians Denis Lebedev and Alexander Alexeev and also former WBA king Firat Arslan but it seems like they will have to wait until next year before getting a shot at any of the major titles.
One of the best prospects around is Russian Rakhim Chakiev, who´s promoted by Universum but he will need some time before taking on the top fighters.
