WBC heavy champ Vitali Klitschko defends the title against mandatory challenger Juan Carlos Gomez March 21 at the Hans Martin Schleyer Hall in Stuttgart with K 2 promoting. It´s in intriguing matchup between two former stablemates and a classic puncher vs boxer clash that is certain to restore some of the faith in heavyweight boxing. There are also lots of personal – some good, others not so good – connections between the two camps.
 
Russian heavy Dennis Boytsov take on Israel “King Kong” Garcia for the apparently vacant WBA I/C title on the undercard to Chagaev vs Drumond February 7 in Rostock. Exactly what happen to the previus champ, Taras Bidenko, isn´t known. Also on the Rostock bill is supermiddle Eduard Gutknecht who face American Rubin Williams in what will be a good test for 15-0 German champ. Featherweight Marcel Meyerdicks, from nearby Wismar, is also on the bill.
 
Arena Box Promotion return to Germany and Cuxhaven with a big show March 6 in Cuxhaven. Headlining are cruisers Herbie Hide and Matt Godfrey in a WBC eliminator. The show also feature two Arena “eliminators” as cruiser Tino Gross face Ivica Bacurin while middleweight Mustapha Karagol is in against Alexander Sipos.
 
EBU heavy king Matt Skelton have big Ukrainian Aleksander Dimitrenko as mandatory challenger. The parties involved have until March 19 for agreement.
 
Sauerland have moved the EU title fight between champ Francesco Pianeta and challenger Michael Sprott from the February 28 show in Neubrandenburg to March 14 in Kiel. On the Neubrandeburg event middleweight Sebastian Sylvester face Gaetano Nespro for the WBA Int´l title along with EBU supermiddle ruler Karo Murat again facing Cristian Sanavia. Murat beat the Italian veteran on a very close call in this town almost a year ago.
 
IBF I/C l cruiser champ Enad Licina, 15-1, defends the title January 24 in Riesa on the Huck-Batello show against Colombian Juan Jose Herrera.
 
Danish paper BT writes that Sauerland Event have offered WBA supermiddle champ Mikkel Kessler seven million Danish kronas for a fight against Mads Larsen – in Denmark and with Sauerland promoting.
