Frenchman Medhi Bouadla, formerly WBO I/C supermiddle ruler, steps down to middleweight and take on Brazilian veteran Samir Dos Santos Barbosa for the vacant WBA Int´l belt October 21 in Aulnay-sous-Bous. On the undercard lightweight veteran Brahim Bariz have a final tuneup before challenging Daouda Sow for the national title. Supermiddle Julien Sainte Marie, Bouadla´s chief sparring, is also on the bill. Newly crowned IBF I/C heavyweight champ Konstantin Airich is looking to face Manuel Charr next time. Airich looked like a very easy winner this past weekend as Varol Vekiloglu flopped over in the first round but is now back and have an ideal opponent in Charr, who´s now with E C Box Promotion and have a fight coming up November 18 in Cuxhaven. Danny Williams appears to be out and in comes Russian veteran Denis Bakhtov to challenge EBA heavyweight champ Alexander Ustinov October 22 in Cherkasy, Ukraine. Bakhtov was a few years back regarded as a prospect but after a ko loss to Saul Montana he was never the same which isn´t to say he´s bad. In the chief support middleweight Maksim Bursak take on Abdulaziz Matazimov. WBA interim middleweight champ Hassan N´Dam is currently talking to his promoter Sebastien Acaries about renewal of the contract. N´Dam expects to be back in January and there is a title unification coming up with a fight against WBA standard king Gennadyi Golovkin. Veteran Kai Kauramaki square off against youngster Timo Laine October 21 in Pori with the vacant Finnish middleweight title at stake. The undercard features the Selesma brothers, Aki and Sami and cruiser Janne Forsman.
