It´s official: WBO supermiddle champ Karoly Balzsay defend the title against Robert Stieglitz August 22 in Budapest. The Bedak brothers, Zsolt and Pal, are both on the bill and Zsolt will defend the WBO European superbantam title.

Ex-WBA lightheavy champ Mehdi Sahnoune came this past weekend and stopped veteran Ramdane Serdjane. Sahnoune won and lost the WBA title back in 2003, came back well and was all set to fight WBO ruler Zsolt Erdei July 3, 2005, when the champ woke up sick and the fight was postponed. Erdei then stopped Medhi in the 12th and final round in October the same year. Then followed a lengthy layoff that included a courtcase that was to have led to three years in jail but was appealed. Now 35, Sahnoune is finally ready resume his career.
