Onboard the m/s Silja Serenade the Swedish Federation celebrated its 90th anniversary with a Boxing Cruise to Helsinki. As part of the program a Sweden vs Finland national was staged including two professional fights. The show went ahead in the port of Helsinki but onboard the ship this afternoon and in the pros Sweden went 1-1 with Finland. At lightheavy Petter Antman, 4-0, outscored Swede Stefan Schallengruber, now 4-1, over six while welter Patrick Bogere. 4-0, stopped Marko Nieminen, 1-1, in the second of a scheduled six-rounder.
This very same afternoon Caramalito Promotions staged a show in Vasa, also in Fínland, with the Finnish Butterbean Janne Katajisto, who indeed look a little like Butterbean but is a fast, quickhanded heavyweight, moving to 3-0 with a second round stoppage of Jevgenijs Zolotovs. In other action Swedish supermiddle prospect Badou Jack, 4-0, tko´d overmatched Latvian Jevgenijs Fjodorovs in the first round. Jr middle Aki Selesma, 4-0, outscored Jevgenijs Fjodorovs from Latvia over six.
