Sturm Box Promotion – headed by WBA superchamp at middleweight Felix Sturm – have notified the EBU that Grzegorz Proksa´s defence of the EBU middleweight title against former WBC titlist Sebastian Zbik will go ahead March 2 in Germany with site to be announced.
Proksa vs Zbik shape up as a very interesting matchup between an up and coming fighter in the Matchroom promoted Proksa and with Zbik, with Universum, on the comeback trail after losing the WBC title.
There are however rumors flying that Zbik, for one reason or another will be pulled out of the fight.
Sturm Box Promotion won the purse bids for the right to stage the fight ahead of both Sauerland and Matchroom while Universum´s bid was dq:d due to a break of the rules in the purse bid procedure.
