Badou gick på en ordentlig smäll mot Derek Edwards, blev stoppad 1.01 in på rond ett men reste sig, bet ihop, lärde sig av misstagen, kom tillbaks, blev mästare och försvarade sedan titeln.
The Ring Fighter of the Year går till Tyson Fury för segern över Wladimir Klitschko och den matchen utnämns också till Upset of the Year.
