Cagri Ermis, 13-10-2, won the vacant WBFed middleweight title with clear win over tough but limited Portugese Vitor Sa in the headliner of EC Box Promotion´s show at Braamkamp 1, It was scored 120-108, 120-109 and 117-111. Ermis had a battleplan, to box from the outside scoring with one punch at the time, and did so. Sa kept coming, was outboxed but never stopped trying.
Kai Kurzawa continued his resurrection and stopped out of shape Georgian Levan Jomardashvili in the fourth to win the vacant WBO I/C cruiserweight title. Jomardashvili was down in the first from a left hook to the body but then Kurzawa seemed to lose his concentration, the referee made some strange calls and Jomardashvili kept coming and punched himself out and finally went over twice from bodyshots.
Christian Hammer won the vacant Int´ l German heavyweight title with a second round stoppage of Serdar Uysal, who was down all in all five times before being rescued. This was supposed to have been a six-rounder but was upgraded to a title fight the day before.
Kenyan welter Nasser Athumani looked a clear winner over Aziz Azizov but got a draw after eight. Athumani, bigger and stronger, dominated the action.
Former WBA champ of sorts at supermiddle Dimitri Sartison returned after knee surgery and took a long time to get started against Carlos Caicedo. In fact many felt he was heading for a loss after four but then in the fifth he took out Caicedo with a bodyshot. The judges were split after four and had a draw but Sartison waited and waited and got tagged when doing so.
Unbeaten cruiser Sefer Seferi, based in Switzerland, stopped Marko Angermann in the sixth of a scheduled eight-rounder but failed to impress.
Heavyweight Ozcan Cetinkaya hurt his left arm in the first but outboxed big Czech Ladislav Kovarik for a clear win after six one-sided round.
