While there is no official announcement from the promoter the EBU reports that Aleksandre Dimitrenko will defend the EBU heavyweight title December 4 against Albert Sosnowski. No site have been announced.
Veteran heavy Luan Krasniqi, a former Olympian, EBU champ and world title challenger, will comeback in February of 2011. Krasniqi, now 39, have been out since getting knocked out by the above mentioned Dimitrenko in 2008. Luan´s return is set for Ludwigsburg, just outside of Stuttgart.
WBA “regular” champ Gennadyi Golovkin will face Universum in court November 26 and will then take on Nilson Tapia in Berlin December 10. The show is promoted by Delta Promotion, headed by Oleg Herrmann, who manages Golovkin as well.
Lightheavies Gabriel Campillo and Thierry Karl clash for the vacant EBU title January 22 in Levallois. It´s an exciting matchup and a classic boxer vs puncher contest.
It will be Hungarian veteran Zoltan Kalocsai, a one time lightweight, that challenge IBF I/C middleweight champ Benjamin Simon November 12 in Berlin. Kalocsai, down from supermiddle, replace original opponent Marco Schulze.
Swiss middle Yves Studer, reigning EE-EU champ, take on Brazilian Samir dos Santos Barbosa December 26 in Berne with the vacant IBC title at stake.
