It will be teak tough former EBU middleweight champ Khoren Gevor that steps in on short notice and replace Dimitri Sartison as opponent for WBO supermiddle titleholder Robert Stieglitz.
Gevor, a loser to Sartison last time out, was in full in training in Amsterdam for a WBA eliminator at middleweight against Matthew Macklin April 16 – a fight that went up in smoke when Macklin pulled out and have now accepted to fight April 9 in Magdeburg at supermiddleweight.
Gevor, 31-5, again steps up to supermiddle and is certainly up against it but is still a good challenger for Stieglitz, 39-2.
