Stieglitz vs Acosta: It will be Argentinian Ruben Acosta that challenge WBO supermiddle champ Robert Stieglitz on Saturday (Jan 9) in Magdeburg, Germany. Acosta comes in as a very late replacement for Edison Miranda but reported at today´s press conference he had been in full training for another fight and is in good shape. Still, Acosta, appears to be a step down in calibre as compared with Miranda. Ruben lost a wide decision to Karoly Balzsay on his only previous visit to Germany.
The main fight for TV viewers in Germany is Ina Menzer´s defence of the WBC, WBO and WIBF featherweight titles against Ramona Kuehne.
The undercard feature almost heavyweights only with Dennis Boytsov in against American Kevin Montiy, Manuel Charr face Owen Beck and Christian Hammer and Markus Tomala square off in an internal eliminator. Experienced spoiler Zach Page is back in Germany and face Sebastian Koeber.

Klitschko and the women: Today´s edition of German tabloid Bild Zeitung feature a Wladimir Klitschko special. The paper looks into all the women the WBO and IBF heavyweight champion have been more or less involved with over the years.
