Supermiddles Dimitri Sartison, WBA # 2, and Stepjan Bozic, # WBA 3 and WBA I/C champ, clash for the vacant “regular” WBA title November 28 in Oberhausen. Mikkel Kessler? Well, he´s now WBA “superchamp”. Sartison was previously booked to fight Mads Larsen for the vacant EBU title January 16 in Aarhus but that must be off now and the EBU, Palm Promotions and Larsen have to look for another challenger.
WBA bantam champ Anselmo Moreno´s defence in Agde, France, against Frederic Patrac is now set for December 4 after being postponed once due an injury to Moreno.
Norwegian jr welter Geir Inge Jorgensen, 27-1, returns after 13 months out November 13 in Koszalin, Poland. Jorgensen, at one time associated with Emanuel Steward and Kronk, takes on Slawomir Ziemlewicz, 18-5-2, so it looks like a tough comeback. Jorgensen´s layoff is due to a lack of promoter and suitable fights – a problem shared with many Scandinavian fighters who were left out of a contract when promotional outfit Modern Sport & Events was shut down by its owners in 2004.
French supermiddle champ Mehdi Bouadla stopped veteran Morrade Hakkar in eight Saturday night in Aulnay-sous-Bois and is now on for a fight against Lolenga Mock for the vacant EU title January 16 in Aarhus.
Seems like December 4 at the Blue Horizon in Philadelphia, PA, will be a Swedish night as three Swedish fighters tentatively are booked to fight there that date. Lightheavy Stefan Schallengruber, supermiddle Badou Jack and jr middle Daniel Hartvig are booked but Schallengruber and Jack both have fights November 14 in Finland that they must come through allright.
